I have a few ovarian cysts, should I get a 2nd opinion?

I went to see the OB/GYN and she said that the cysts were too small to be hurting me, yet I am in pain almost daily. My period, which is usually like clockwork, is out of whack. I am already on birth control. All the doctor said was to wait another month and have another ultra sound to see if they have gotten bigger. I am tired of being in pain and I really dont know what to do.
