Is it time to change our laws that govern social conduct"?
Good point - there seems to be such a tendency to change the things we have always held dear most of which I think have actually become law based on religious views and common law. Laws such a illegal cohabitation, adultery and bigamy are examples. The success in obtaining change is not so much the fact that the laws were not reasonable acceptable by the majority of the people but rather due to political thought. Most people decline from involving themselves in things they have no interest in or avoid due to stigmas occurring from involvement. That leaves generally then those who will benefit from change. This one sided crusade is a quick way of gaining votes for unscrupulous politicians who understand the value of doing what ever it takes to get a vote. The gays in the military issue and the most recent approval by our president to recognize marriages by gays and s is a prime example. Continuing down this path will lead to a sick society; sicker than it is. We may as well turn or back on all things decent!
