I am suggested not to appear for CCNA exams held by Cisco for it's risky to spend lots of money as exam fees.

Is it necessary to have that certificate in hand to walk-in for the interviews for technical support executives in BPOs and MNCs. If yes, then where can i get proper guidance for the examinations.
