How to i hook up a wire harness to a deck?

i just purchased a Kenwood KDC-MP338 aftermarket deck, i also purchased the wire harness for my 2002 pontiac grand am, its the one without the chimes and such, how to i hook up the wire harness to the aftermarket deck harness? and also what wire has to connect to the fuse box (the guy said something about another wire connecting to the fuze box) and also how to i wire it to the battery?
